ItsJustMe

ItsJustMe is a personal-timeline app that turns your entire life story — memories, beliefs, goals, skills, relationships, and more — into a living, explorable neuron map of who you are.

The problem

Us humanbeings collect memories, not just things — but memories don't stay put. Life moves fast, and even the moments that shaped us start to blur: what you believed at 15, the goal you set at 20, the friend who mattered most during a hard year. Most people haven't lost these memories so much as lost easy access to them. Ask someone what they were like at 15, and watch them struggle for an answer that used to be effortless.

For a lot of people, that struggle isn't just an inconvenience — it's a preview of something scarier. Dementia and memory loss touch nearly every family eventually, and by the time it does, there's often no record left to lean on. Photos capture moments, but not the beliefs, values, and small daily truths that actually made up a life.

The idea

ItsJustMe isn't just a diary and a photo album. It's your whole life, structured and preserved before you need it to be. Every meaningful piece of who you are — not just what happened, but what you believed, valued, learned, and became — gets its own place on a timeline that runs the length of your actual life, from birth onward.

Nothing has to be remembered perfectly, because it's already there, waiting on your own timeline, exactly when you need it.

What goes on your timeline

ItsJustMe organizes your life into distinct "persona types" — the different categories of things that make up a person, not just a list of events.

🎯

Every one of these can also be shared onto someone else's timeline — so a memory that involves your best friend can live on both of your life stories.

How it looks: a neural map of your life

Instead of a scrolling list or a spreadsheet, every entry in ItsJustMe lives as a neuron in a pannable, zoomable field, positioned along your timeline by when it happened in your life. Related memories, people, and moments are visually connected to each other, the same way real memories connect in your head: your first job links to the skills you learned there, which link to the friend who got you the interview, which links to the goal you set because of it.

The result isn't a form you filled out once. It's something that actually looks and feels like a mind — your mind — mapped out and explorable.

More ways it helps

Find anything, fast

The built-in search lets you find your neurons by text, age, an exact date, or a whole timespan — so nothing gets lost, no matter how big your timeline gets.

Let friends fill it in for you

Friends can suggest a neuron straight onto your timeline. Why write up that family trip you were all on yourself, when they can propose the same neuron and you just accept? It makes building up your timeline effortless.

Beyond text

Every neuron can hold more than words — photos, videos, and voice recordings attached directly to the memory or person they belong to, so a moment isn't just described, it's preserved the way it actually looked and sounded.

Why the name

What started as an inside joke between friends, inspired by the work of my favorite artist, Eminem, became a catchy phrase of its own. There's a real power in the acceptance that phrase carries — a level of confidence that's hard to match. Being yourself, and feeling proud of it, is something a lot of people struggle with. The idea behind using this phrase as the app's name was to give people that same relief and pride in who they really are.
